"Move it!!  You, step aside!"

I see the mutant moving the chauffeur away and taking his place at the driver seat.  I get in at the back.  Garage door opens, slowly, very slowly.

Very slowly...

"I'll go tailgunner."

"Got it!"

Elise took the back seat down and crawled into the trunk.  She screamed her command to open it up, and got to ready her shotgun just as the door was being smashed away by the opposition.

The car drove off in perfect synch with her first salvo, preventing the Department from firing upon entry.  She shot as quickly as the gun allowed her until there was no one in sight.

Alexanne drove the limo across the parking, along the back side and over to the section where they had started.  In a flash, everyone got out of the limo, fired a salvo at the oncoming Department forces and got into their cars.  Elise found and activated the soft top command as she got in, allowing her to fire back at the fighters.  Dream ducked under the frame's protection.  Whistler, who was on the back seat with Elise, was firing his pair of guns as well.

The car made a hard turn onto the street, and that's where the top went back on, signaling the android to stop.

"Woo-hoo!  Good work, people!"  Whistler exclaimed.

"Call Works!"  Elise said.  Alexanne grabbed her communicator.

"Works, it's Exi.  We're out and safe."

"Got it, I'll relay this back to the rest of the team.  Take a steady pace, we'll meet back home.  I'll move out of my spot as soon as everyone else is secure."

"What spot?"  Elise put her head between the front seats to hear the mutant's response.

"Lowlife and Works can't stay in the same spot due to their signal being traced.  So instead of commanding from the base, they instead go out and cruise around in a black upgraded sports car, disguising themselves as street racers.  Lowlife drives while Works takes care of giving us info on the mission.  To do this, he uses a screen replacing the airbag, and a control pad.  This way, he can communicate with anyone in the team.  To people watching from outside, it looks like he's playing a video game."

"Nice!"

"Yep!  Not something you would've done back in your time, huh?"

Elise smirked.  "Of course not - back then, our leader fought alongside with us!"  She sat down and leaned back, showing her proud face to Whistler.  "Ha!"

Alexanne sighed.  "That's what got your leader killed too."

This made the android suddenly get back face-to-face with the mutant.

"Shrike is not dead."

I don't know what's pushed me to say this.

I know one thing though: Shrike is still alive somewhere.

...This will be my side quest from now on.
